1. Inherent Risk

Firearms, defensive tactics, security exercises, and related training involve inherent risks including serious injury or death. No training method or safety equipment eliminates all risk.

2. Mandatory Firearms Safety

Treat every firearm as loaded.
Never allow the muzzle to cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
Keep your finger outside the trigger guard until you are ready to fire.
Know your target and what is in front of and beyond it.
Wear required eye and hearing protection during live fire.
No alcohol, unlawful drugs, or impairment during training.

3. Instructor and Range Authority

Participants must immediately follow instructor and range commands. Corsair may stop an exercise or remove a participant for unsafe behavior, impairment, unsuitable equipment, disruptive conduct, or a legal or eligibility concern.

4. Legal Compliance

Participants are responsible for complying with applicable federal, state, and local law governing possession, transport, carrying, and use of firearms and any licensing requirements applicable to their activities. Course content is educational and is not individualized legal advice.

5. No Performance or Licensing Guarantee

Training does not guarantee performance in a defensive incident, a passing score, employment, licensure, commission, permit, certification, reciprocity, or approval by a government agency. Requirements may change and should be confirmed with the responsible authority.

6. Fitness to Participate

Participants must be physically and mentally capable of safely performing the activities in which they participate. Inform the instructor of a safety-relevant limitation or requested accommodation before the activity begins. Corsair personnel are not a substitute for medical professionals.

7. Emergency Authority

In an emergency, Corsair may stop training, contact emergency services, render reasonable first aid within personnel training, secure firearms or the training area, and take other reasonable measures to protect participants and the public.
